What are the key components of a Dishwasher? Motor - The dishwasher motor spins the Basket - The removable dishwasher basket allows for the easy loading and unloading of utensils. Pump - The dishwasher pump pumps the waste water from the dishwasher through the drain hose. Door Seal - The dishwasher door seal keeps the water and hot water vapor inside the dishwasher. Door Latch - The dishwasher door latch keeps the door safely closed when the dishwasher is running through the wash cycles. Racks - The racks hold the dishes in an upright position to facilitate cleaning. Wheels - The racks utilize wheels to smoothly roll out of the dishwasher body to allow easy access for loading and unloading of the dishes. Supply Hose - The Supply Hose provides the clean water used to clean dishes. This is typically connected to a hot water supply line (through a valve) to aid in the cleaning ability of the dishwasher.
